Paper Cardboard Lithograph? picture Teachers Aide? French

I found two of these what may be some sort of teachers aide. Measures appx. 17 by 23 inches. Front has a scene which I think is a Teacher and student. Bottom has french description which I think is saying something about the student "Jean" departing from school. First I wondered if the front picture would be described as a lithograph? Would it be considered a woodblock print? Any information on the artists would be great/can't make out the signature. Also I would be very interested in knowing exactly what the purpose of the board was and really interested in finding out the approximate date. Any information would be very much appreciated.
