I bought this guitar in an antiques store today. I don't even play guitar, but I was drawn to its character. Can anyone tell me anything about these guitars, approx age, etc? Thanks, Carol

I agree, it is a very charming guitar. Obviously, there are no strings on it. If you plan to string it, you will have to replace the bridge (a wooden piece that stands upright on the guitar body. Its purpose is to elevate the strings). I think that Tempo guitars were made by or affiliated with Kay but I am not sure. It appears to be from the 60's. I have an archtop guitar which was a Harmony H-945 and looks very similar to yours. You can use a flashlight to look into the body and see the label or serial number. Once you have that you can use that to narrow it down in order to get more information on it. But it is a very nice guitar. Sorry, I wish I could have given you more information than that.
