This is what you would consider a marriage piece. Someone had the idea to convert the ball vase into a boudoir lamp.

The lamp base is blown of green iridescent glass with Abstract decor and the ball shape has three openings with gold finish metal escutcheons. Pallme Konig and Kralik did produce a Abstract decor. I believe this is a Kralik example due to the shape. Kralik produced ball shaped vases in many various decors. Pallme Konig ball shapes I have not come across.

The lamp socket is from GE and is for a 12.5 watt bulb. A good sign the lamp was made by someone in the US. Turn knob is of bakelite material and the rest of the hardware is brass. Electrical cord comes through one of the openings.

6-3/8" tall to the socket. There are three openings on the vase and is 1-1/8" diameter. The ball shape has a 2-1/2" diameter base and is 3-1/2" wide.

lol.... I'm so sick of rain. You can have it. I know your grass is thirsty and understand why your soo happy! lol Just don't send the rain my way. This is the first day in a week I'm able to get outside and enjoy the pool!

Forget the grass, our SOULS are thirsty...

Imagine living in a world with over 300 days a year of PIERCING sunlight 100+ degrees, where going outside for THREE seconds makes your butt and armpits sweaty. Where 90 degrees literally feels like a cool day, and everyone has little scars on their stomach from being burned by the seatbelt in their car.

We desert folk love the rain more than anything. As a kid I remember hearing people in movies say things like "Awww its RAINING! What awful weather..." - and being genuinely confused as to why they weren't excited.

    Thanks, Hedgewalker! :)

Stillwater, lol.... Never been to Arizona. Enjoyed your comment, but will admit I love the four seasons. This summer has started with a lot of rain and with 3 nieces and my son, our summer has not been to a great start. Gary lives in Texas and has been filling me in on how his beautiful yard is very dry due to the heat, but he has been in his pool almost every day! I have a brother who moved from (rainy) Washington to Arizona. His family was very happy living in Arizona until his job required him to move back. The kids really miss it, because they could play outside every day. So when it rains, it must be a snow day for you! lol Thanks for sharing.
