Barr manufactured conventional and battery operated clocks going back to the early teens of the twenth century, Barr Manufacturing made three digital models. One with a plain wooden case; a leather case, a Bakelite case models. This is the leather case model.

Barr digital clocks are uncommon and more uncommon in working order. Barr's mechanisms are unique. The numeral wheels are metal and they interlocked by geared teeth on the inside of the wheels. I did not even attempt to go there. The clock was not working on arrival, I opened the case and gave the motor and visible gears and cogs a shot of clock oil, and off she took. I guess next I will get some brown boot wax and polish the case.

The clock runs and the leather is in good condition, the numbers on the wheels however, are showing their age and have darkened over the years. The cord and plug had to be replaced but other than that it is in original condition. The instructions for use tag is still on the bottom of the case.
