These are additional photos in addition to the photos that I posted earlier from 4 days ago...titled "Extremely Rare Cir.1762 Sea Chest-Provenance & Sur Names-All Original!"
I've included closer pictures showing the elaborate hardware, original brass knob and the "Treasure Chest" design pattern in addition to the handwritten portion at the top of the interior lidded till inside the chest listing some of one's personal items that were in the chest and at least one of the owner's previous names. I realize it's difficult to read, but very much a piece of its history.
Also a photo with the initials H I S and on the other side of the chest as the photo in my earlier posting shows 1762.

There is a part one to this with additional photos which was placed on Collectors Weekly approx a month earlier than when these photos were posted.
The trunk originally came from England and has never left the family. It has been passed down from generations and have all the provenance and surnames of the previous owners since the trunk was originated in 1762. The family was also related to John Hancock and Paul Revere.
I personally have never seen another one as comparable.
