1920's Madame Hendren Doll Bisque Dream baby Number 514 crier 14 inches tall .
I am posting this doll circa 1920's as there is so little info on her on internet . Madame Hendren was known for her composition dolls , however she did buy heads from German Company Armand Marseille called a Dream baby # 341 . She put the heads on her marked Bodies . The back of cloth body is Stamped Madame Hendren 514 USA . The doll is 14 inches tall and has celluloid hands and bisque head and cry's . Again I am posting her as several people have asked about whether Madame Hendren ever put out a doll with a bisque head and this is only one she put her name to and a smaller version of her and one larger at 18" .She was most famous for her composition version of this doll and a talking composition doll no bisque except these 2 I mentioned . These dolls are few and far apart to find .
Averill Manufacturing Company a New York, USA doll manufacturer has a long and somewhat confusing history, mostly due to the various names the company operated under such as: Paul Averill, Inc., Madame Georgene, and Georgene Novelties.

It was begun by husband and wife team James "Paul" Averill and wife Georgene Hopf Averill, they also employed Georgene's brother Rudolph A. Hopf and daughter Maxine Averill. Georgene or Madame Georgene the doll designer, sometimes used the trade name Madame Hendren which is also in some of the doll markings, also Life-Like doll or Lyf-Lyk and Wonder dolls

    Great info & post Mani!
I was thinking of you Mani as I recently went through a friends barn & he has a 30" store mascot like you have posted, but it's pretty beat-up. He's a bit of a hoarder, has a barn full o9f great things, but it's all getting ruined by rodents and nature.
    Are these worth fixing?
Can you ball park cost to repair several breaks/ vrs worth in good cond.?
    Thanks Mani :)!

@ pickrknows, Very costly to have have repaired a long hard process .Unless you know how and if they are to far gone to save or not . I do my own repair but have had 30 years of teaching and he still has to quide me at times . The value restored would out weigh the cost to repair . Also depends on how rare that mannequin is . Next time your there take a photo ok I would love to see it and I hate to hear of these girls sitting in a barn and not being preserved . I had one I got from a barn she even smelled like a chicken coup but after I restored her she went on to be on display in NY as a Follies girl in a store window and she is back to work again on 5th ave ! :-) Thank you for thinking of me too when you saw it !***

Thank-you Mani for the info, I'll let him know, and try and get some pics next time.
Maybe I can talk him into donating it to someone who can restore her!
I think she's very much like this one, only broken legs,http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/86422-1940s-30-inch-mannequin-store-display-mo
