These awards I am so proud to own they belonged to my husband that died in 1976. The paper award if I remember correctly is from 1969 the Medals go to early 1970's. I'm really not sure what to do with these pieces as there is no-one I would like to pass onto that would really appreciate them.

Some place I should have one of the paper awards and bronze medalion. I believe theses days some schools do not teach swimming in my day it was a must!
Shame no one in the family would like ( or deserve them ) .. How about a local museun or one from whee your hubby came from??

The facts are his son doesn't deserve as he never got to know his dad as he died before his birth & his family we lost touch as his mum & dad died & his sister was a bit strange the last time I seen her many years ago then I lost touch. I will keep it in mind. There's a lot of thing's they just don't teach in schools anymore.

Thanks for the thought on that eye it's a good one but I'm the other end of the country now & don't have a picture of my husband. That's another story, but a really good thought. Was thinking of sending to the Life saving Club in his name.
