Cola_Coca_…
(1 item)

This is my Coke collection.... not too many, but I'm happy.
They have been mine for quite a while.
Both Ingram - Richardson signs were acquired in Baltimore over 35 years ago, along with the Selected Devices Silhouette Girl clock.
The 1939 Selected Devices was a wedding present and the Red 50's thermometer hung in my Grandmother's kitchen, I luckily inherited it after her death.

I share the love of this crazy hobby with all the members..... I often look (stare really) at the large ING - RICH sign's Coca-Cola script for longer than I should. I always found the logo mesmerizing (silly, I know!)

Thanks for Looking.... my first time uploading to this site (or any other site) hope the images are OK.

Hey, a lot of collectors would be happy to just have those two. I'd be starting at 'em all night too.

Thanks for the great comments. Both signs are porcelain, I have them mounted to 1/2 inch plywood, it’s simple, but it keeps them from any harm when rearranging.

I've always thought that the larger sign was a true soda fountain / pharmacy sign.

    It’s 7 ft wide by 14” high.

    It’s story….

I was asked by a dear old friend to assist in the removal of a Rexall Drug Sign (back in college), he knew all along that this porcelain sign was behind it and had not been seen in ages…. that’s why he was so finicky when we were taking the Rexall Sign down….

Of course he knew I was into Coca Cola stuff, I had nothing really - odds and ends, this was my first piece that had the Trade Mark Registered in the “C”.

I’ve looked (always) for anything like it, but truly have not come upon anything close. The size is such that for many years I had it standing in a corner and it looked great. My neck was always hurting due to the viewing angle.

I’ve carried it to many places over the years….

Thanks again for the great comments.

I love your porcelain signs! The larger ones i'm usually not a big fan of, but your 7' sign is a beauty! Very rare!!! Hang onto her lol.

My Grandfather had one of the Girl Silhouette Clocks in his store, I remember that clock well, I had an early birthday photo taken while standing underneath it. The photo is long gone along with the clock (darn).
Through the years, collecting Coca Cola, I never knew it was Selected Devices... you can read that manufacturers name in CCMan's photo (zoom in).
I suppose this is the item that sparked my interest in collecting!

    Thanks guys.
