I love this silver necklace. I wear it often. I am not sure what year it's from, but it has the 800 mark on the back. Once while I had it on a woman offered to buy if from me for $200... What the heck?

Anyone familiar with this design?

Hi Dr.! 800 is coin silver Even USA was poor in 1600's and on. We had no silver mines so countries like ours melted coins to make things, Spain and Eng. were rich! That might be Europe because of grapes, wine?? It is beautiful!! I have a Koln Ger. necklace of the cathedral! It is coin or 800 also!! It is posted!!
