This is a vintage Masonic Hat, I am not knowledgeable about this organization. once again this is another item from the huge estate of a Collector! You know me any help would be appreciated. The year of this Fez I believe they call it, and looking at the pin what does it represent? Thanks Mikey

This is a Shriner fez (Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine.) Shriners are an auxiliary to the Freemasons focused on "fun and fellowship" as well as charitable giving. All Shriner members must be Masons. I don't know the age of the hat, but the Almas temple is in Washington DC. Crescents or crescent and shield adornments are common on Shriner fez's, so I don't think the pin has any special meaning except to denote a Shriner from other types of Masons.
