More 1950's copper. The first is marked Renoir: bracelet 1" wide and earrings .75"x.5" for scale. I believe the design is called Shadows.

2nd pic: No marks....same basic size. I like to wear 3 or more of these 1" wide bracelets for dramatic effect but take them off if I plan to dance.

3rd pic: ....I know I have matching earrings darn it. Anyway this one isn't marked either. It's 1.5" wide - nice copper wire attached to rivets.

Fun aren't they? Any comments appreciated.

Do you wear them? They are fabulous! Green arm after?

The last one may be Rebajes?

Amber - yes I wear them and no, these old bracelets must have been finished differently on the inside - no green arm! However, I have many from the 70's and some of those do go green if I'm sweating.

Dr. Fluffy - you inspired me to show some of my favorite copper items. I don't think it Rebajes. I have some and will post those w/my boyfriends better camera. Think you'll enjoy them -the patina is darker and in general the copper is heavier. Did you look at my copper mask post? There's a Rebajes Ubangi. She's very sweet.

I have a ton of pieces that leave marks. Indian (from India) bangles, copper (not as cool as these) etc. just love these!

Thanks - I like the stuff from India too and have those. Sometimes depending how hot and humid it is....everything marks and bugs. When I'm running around at swapmeets or junking I don't wear anything that a seller could read about me. I'm sure you are the same. But when I go out later I pile it all on.

valentino you are so much smarter then I am.
I wear bakelite when I go to flea markets. I always hope it will get my mojo on to find other bakelite jewelry.
My boyfriend recently told me thats not smart. Indeed one time I had one seller telling me my bracelets are bakelite! :-/
I ll trie not to wear them in the future to flea markets.

NO do what you love to do! It's just me. We all have our mojo-building routines. Mine is to say to myself "today I'm going to find a fabulous.....for $5.00" bracelet or jewel or whatnot and it never fails to work. Lately I've been chanting $1.00 THAT doesn't work too good - ha!

One time I found a black coral cuff bracelet that the seller thought was plastic and I paid a dollar for it. Then I told him what it was and probably worth about $70. He was so mad at me and I felt bad. So now I mainly keep my mouth shut and pretend I don't know anything unless the seller is misrepresenting an item.
