I just love this piece even if it is broken. A 10" Brad Keeler Artware flamingo hand painted California pottery figurine. One of the wings was broken off and reglued but just a slight bit off or you probably wouldn't even have noticed it. Considering all the other delicate things that could break like the legs or neck I can live with the wing break. It still has most of it's original paper label on the base and is signed and numbered on the bottom. -Mike-

The ones with outstretched wings like this are rarer, had a couple of these.

Thanks...I knew you'd like this Phil. I had you in mind when I saw this one. Shame about the wing but I can live with it. :)

I had found a pair of mint ones like this but with larger wings, it was the biggest I had ever seen. I had a friend in mind when I bought them who lived on Flamingo Cres., tho I wish I still had them, sometimes generosity is a killjoy !~

I don't have a flamingo and yours is LOVELY! My mentor Linda had at least 10 of them and told me they were special so of course I can tell yours is! She also had 3 or 4 of the mirrored paintings (were they Turners?) w/flamingos, panthers and flowers also from the 1940s. Luckily a family member still has those but I heard Linda's husband smashed most of those flamingo figurines sometime back in the 90's. He was a scary guy and died a young man.
