My hubby found this in an empty house a long time ago, despite trying many different web searches, we have not been able to find out anything about where it came from, who made it, does it have value ??
It is made with a lot of detail, the head seems to a mix of different metals (brass for sure plus others), there is a lot of fine artisitic details, the body screen area is made up of small flowers,, the head comes off, so we kind of figure it may be some kind of liquor type holder?? It have looked it over thoroughly and cannot find any type of mark that may show the company that made it. We really like it as it is unusual and different, but we are very curious as to where it came from, who made it,, and does it have value??

That is a very good guess. The screen portion on the bottom reminds me of the protective screens put around Seltzer bottles sometimes. Though a nice bottle of Scotch would look just as nice.

Sadly though, I was just looking for information on it myself, because it used to belong to my great aunt.
It should be a bottle holder and also a music box that can be wound up from the bottom and it starts playing once you take the bottle out of it.
