These are my latest bakelite aquisitions. Yellow is the color I apparently find the most. Is there more yellow bakelite than any other color or is this just coincidence?
I now own several yellow bakelite necklaces but they all are different in some way. Some have a slightly other color, some have more marbling, some have a different lenght or a different clasp.
I absolutely love the egg yolk color.
I made the dark yellow bracelet with some beads I could save from an otherwise worthless necklace. On the final picture you can see my bakelite finds from this year. I hope I will find some more. I hope you enjoy them!

WOW LOVE THEM! Wasn't yellow originally white? I love yellow too and find it most. I just bought a Missippippi Mud 1/2" bracelet last week and will post it later. It's a mix of tan, yellow and brown. I think the mottled items are also called "end of the day" because they mixed complimentary colors (or contrasting actually) together. I wonder how they looked when they were new.

valentino you are right, yellow used to be white. But they used bakelite to look like amber too...So I m not sure about my egg yolk necklaces. I think their original color looks not very different from the one they have now. I m looking forward to see your end of the day bracelet!
