I love this lamp! My grandmother, b.1904, had this in her living room all my years. Under penalty of death should I even breathe on it, I was permitted to look at it while sitting still in the goose-neck rocker near by. The colors and the glow from the base and top drew me in and mesmorized me to peace during those interminablely long, home-sick filled, visits to her home. I seem to remember she said it was her grandmothers, but, I don't see how, unless it was converted from oil. There is GILL & Co 23 stamped on the inside of the cross bar. My grandmother and her family mostly came from Upper Lisle, Whitney Point, upstate NY farm area. If anyone knows or has seen orthers like it - please share!
