I just got your message about the Royal Doulton Toby jugs. They are in my book although it is quite old. The Toby jus ( The full body ) was first made in 1941 and came in 3 sizes
D6171 Large 9"
D6172 Med 5.5"
D6175 Small 4"
There is also a head jug, known as a loving cup, and is all ivory with a black handle- D6170 Large size , starting in 1940 and designed by Charles Noke.
I believe many were reproduced up to the 1980's, and several of the Toby ones are currently listed on eBay. The one I think you are interested is a little rarer, but I'm sure if you google it, something will come up. I've going home to the Uk in September, so will look out for one for you. My hubby wants one too!
