Sean I just saw a similar one listed, no deer, but it was unknown signed vase with the very distinct signature. Very cheap too:) In case you're still looking for more...

    Vase B 917: Asta Strömberg 1959-60.
Decoration C 649: Probably Gunnar Nylund about 1956. I think Nylund because of the similar base style like Gerda Strömbergs earley dear/venison decorations. What I know, Nylund revised some of Gerdas decorations in the mid 1950s, and they was given new and later C-numbers. In my 1972 catalog, these decorations have two numbers, the old from Gerda Strömbergs time and a new from Nylunds revised version.

Edit: C 649 is in a period from mid 1950s and in the years when Nylund draw (what I think) all of the decorations for engravings and cuting pattern.

The vase model by Asta Strömberg.
The engraved decoration I think, probably by Gunnar Nylund. It has a C-number from mid 1950s. Gerda Strömberg was not active in that time what I know, and some (to this dear/venison) similar early engraving motifs by her has got slightly renewed style in the mid 1950s, also new numbers (both the old and the new number presented next to the motif in 1972 catalog). But this C649 engraving is more in style with Gerda Strömbergs early dears/venisons, and not as the slimmer style in the original C 649 from the catalog I have. Maybe depending on the actual engraver, who probably had made this dear/venison engraving in the same style as he always done them, and could not interpret the new style so well?
