    Could it be a decorative chimneria cover, so that smoke can get out but not sparks? Just a wild guess.... ;-)

    Thanks, folks ...always learning new stuff !! Chimneria/chimenea Iam guessing are relatively new. Would they already be making cloisonne covers ?

    You say "tiny pot"...how tiny? Tea ball tiny ?

    I could only find one other example of cloisonne on mesh and that is a christmas bell on ebay.
