I am not a gun expert & need some help dating this gun as well as determining the value. It is serial numbered 336068. When googling I found that it may have been made in 1913. It measures about 36" in length & it is in original condition.

Putting your serial number in this look-up shows 1913.

The '2013 Standard catalog of Firearms' edited by Jerry Lee, lists the value at:
      NIB 2000, Exc. 1500, V.G. 750, Good 400, Fair 400, Poor 200.

I know the good and fair prices are the same but that is how it is listed.

I do not have much experience in grading guns but I would guess yours is closer to the poor end of the spectrum. Hard to tell without an "in person" look. From what I gather there are a lot of people interested in old Winchester's these days.

The 34th ed. (2012) of the 'Gun Trader's Guide' edited by Stephen D. Carpenteri lists it like this.

      MODEL 1906
      SLIDE-ACTION REPEATER ....Nib $1500 EX $914 Gd $557
Takedown. Visible hammer. Caliber: .22 Short, Long, LR. Tubular
magazine holds 20 Short, 16 Long or 14LR. 20-inch bbl.
Weight: 5 lbs. Sights: Open rear; bead front. Straight-grip stock
and grooved forearm. Made from 1906 to 1932.

      Cool find.

Thank you for your help @Booston @pw-collector. I posted it on http://www.gunvaluesboard.com/i-have-a-winchester-repeating-arms-co.-model-06-gun-serial-336068.-when-goo...-30603726.html#306063 & this is what I learned there: "Your rifle was actually manufactured during 1912. The gun is in relatively poor condition and therefore not of interest to collectors. It also has a non original barrel on it. The "oval P" proof stamp on the barrel is a mark that Winchester applied to barrels sold to non factory gunsmiths for use. As it stand the rifle is worth about $400 on the best of days".

Thanks for the link to gunvaluesboard. I'll have to check it out more in depth, could come in handy.
