In an antique shop yesterday, I found this September 18, 1923 edition of Woman's Weekly. The cover story, "The Social Importance of Play," is laughable by today's standards because it describes childrens' lack of desire to be physically active after school or work (if only they could see today's technological distractions!!). The back cover has an ad for a 9-piece bedroom outfit with things such as sheets, bed skirts, etc.
