I lke this strictly, pure Scandinavian style. And Lindstrand. He saved Kosta from beeing degraded by Orrefors, his former employer. When he left Orrefors 1940, he was forced to sign a contract, not to design glass under 10 years. Therefore, he designed ceramics during that period. But then hired Kosta him. He stopped at Kosta in 1973 after disponet Erik Rosen hired new designers (Ann and Goran Wärff). He had been alone "here on the plot" in Kosta long and Rosen found Kosta needed new ideas. Lindstands range from Orrefors in 1940, is said to be due to he was not given enough free reign of Edward Hald, whowas both designer and director for Orrefors in thart time. Many also believe that unless Lindstrand been so strong willed with aplomb, his ideas could never be enforced on Kosta.

    Beautiful! What a wonderful gift.
I keep an ice bucket (that I picked up from an estate sale) on my commercial ice maker to house the ice scoop.

I had this ice bucket and the matching glasses at one time. The glasses had a great weight , and that one perfect bubble. I bought the set from Crate and Barrel in 1980.
