Nice group shot tintype

When I first saw this tintype, I thought that it was an 1870s image.

The back tells a different story. The two US Revenue tax stamps put the image in the AUG 64- JUL 66 time period!

The double tax stamps are more desirable than a single 2 cent tax stamp.

I was also able to buy individual shots of some folks in this group. These photos were taken at the same time and bear the same double tax stamps on the back.
