I was first introduced to the antiques/collectibles world when I was a kid, in the early-mid 90s, by helping work auctions with my dad. Since then I have dabbled in it for a while and decided to give it a go as a full time job. I like many different items but obviously can't keep them all or I would run out of room and money. Some of the things I like are Military memorabilia, art glass, antique/vintage toys, and anything unique or unusual. (Read more)

  2. Thanks for the loves Moonstone and Dan.
  3. Agreed. It's always good to broaden the search...never know what you might find :). And I agree again...Need to get me one of these beasts some day. I think I'd call it an umbrella stand instead...
  4. Certainly reminds me of my old Kralik frit piece. Very cool!
  5. Love it! Great piece Frank.
  6. Not Scailmont Marty. It is a verified Kralik piece, thanks to Jerichos great detective work. But I hear you on that. Tom and I had both looked at a piece not too long ago but Craig quickly told us ...
  7. Congrats Tom! It's still unknown I think. Personally, I'd say Kralik before Welz, but either way it was a great deal on a great piece.
  8. Dang.... too much to learn lol! I had a feeling it wasn't Lundberg(or contemporary), but had no clue who it was by. Another beauty, like all of your pieces :).
  9. Glad to see you were able to pick it up, great piece
  10. Forgot to mention, yes the top and bottom are separate pieces.

  16. X2 Alisa. If these aren't 10s, then I guess I'm lucky if I have a couple "2s" lol. Love them Belleverre.
  17. Thanks very much for the replies guys. The article I had read suggested it would be late 70s. I don't know how accurate the site is though. http://www.coca-colaconversations.com/2009/02/coke-adds...
  18. Saw one of these in an antique mall this weekend...beautiful pieces!
  19. Any clue how many sizes these come in?
  20. Rusticana was my first thought too, but as mentioned more pics would be helpful.
  21. Very nice...not 110% sure, but I'd guess Rindskopf crackle
  22. As always, nice grouping mac. One hell of an office too ;)
  23. If you have some spare time could you post a pic of the bottom and signature?
  24. " The person claimed this to be Kralik, but I am unsure" ---Sellers correct, pretty common kralik shape and decor. "I am unsure if this would be considered Deco or MCM with the stripes" ----Art...
  25. Thanks for the loves everyone. Thanks Scott, the labels are the "FWK" welz labels. This link has a close up photo of the label http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/85088-franz-welz-bubbles-and-...
  26. Don't know anything about it, but if you look through these, you might get lucky. http://www.google.com/search?biw=1024&bih=601&q=art+deco+wall+mask&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.47244034,d.eWU&um=1&ie=...

  31. Hi Steve, didn't end up with anything. I ended up bidding pretty low because my last "online-live auction" purchase didn't go so well and left a bad taste in my mouth. Would have liked to pick it up...
  32. Beautiful piece! I could be wrong but I think it was a good deal either way :). Thought the shape looked familiar... Here is a piece in the same shape that was listed on here as tiffany by a ve...
  33. I have a million things to still learn about loetz, but I'd go with Candia Vesuvian with a cobalt iridescence. I agreen with Alisa that a "cobalt" Silberiris would be a blue ground with silberiris...
