I bought this bow brooch a couple of months ago. This is one of those jewels I m not sure about. Something screams art deco to me. But on the other hand it could be a tiny bit later also.
I bought it assuming the red part could be bakelite, but its not. So I guess its galalith.
Its a really simple design: just two pieces of galalith mounted together on a chrome background. It has a c-clasp thats really loose.
I have never worn it because I fear loosing it all the time.
So what do you think about it?

Hey newtimes, is it possible this is a early airline stewardess pin?
  2. Newtimes Newtimes, 4 years ago
Thoscahaba thank you for your comment. I never thought about that possibility. It seems like stewardess badges always have wings in them, so I m not sure about it.

I love this! Wouldn't it be great if it was a stewardess pin. Have you tried to gently close up the C w/pliers? Also look at the hinge end and see if it has come losse gently crimp it tighter if possible.
