I found again a wonderful piece of china/brass. No marking/stamp. Unfortunately no cylinder to this beautiful oil lamp. I would love to know a bit more about it. Does anybody knows anything?? Please help. Thank you

Your lamp is what has been called a "banquet" style kerosene lamp. It no doubt had a painted matching shade. If you keep your eye out for it, you might find a replacement, although it would be like finding a needle in a hay stack. A plain shade would be easier to find and would complete your lamp. Don't forget to add a gallery to hold the shade and a chimney. With out markings, it would be very difficult to identify a maker; there were several companies that made similar. I have attached links to some lamps similar to yours.

      Hi JohannB
Thank you so much for the links. It is a beautiful piece and yes it would be great if a shade would cross my way. I only started recently to look into china so I am a total novice and am grateful for any directions.
      Thanks again
      Ursi
