I can't tell you much about it but I can tell you that it has some signs that it's fairly old and that I believe it's a Chinese Ginger jar. There would have been a lid with it but often they break or get lost. I say it's old possibly because of the brown dots on it, Iron residue contained in the clay moves slowly to the surface of the ceramic body over a long period of time, forming small rust spots. if there's a mark on the bottom check out http://gotheborg.com/marks/index-china-marks.htm and you can hopefully date it better. this link might help you understand the design more http://gotheborg.com/glossary/horse.shtml Hope I helped!

      First of all, it's fake.
      Second, it's not new.
Third, it's meant to mimic late Ming style.
Finally, the brown dots are not Iron residuals, but hand made holes to make you believe they are "enamel shrinking points".

      Regards.

This Ming jar is from British Museum, as you may notice, there are some dots caused by glaze shrinking. Evidently different from the brown dots here.
