Collected these bakelite hoop earrings over the years because I could find them fairly cheap. Some match rings or bracelets in my collection. I am always looking for items to match what I have.
Any comments are welcome - thanks.

I love Phil's video - VERY nice. And I love the Mickey video as well. You pick the perfect songs to go w/collections. Love them! I have to come up w/a bunch more don't I? to deserve a video like yours. XOXO.

And Signaholic!
Thank you torocat for looking and loving this plastic loot.
Also after a year - thank you friends for loving these again. They are pretty cool but I still don't have red or black!
Such a beautiful assortment of color! Must have taken years to collect.
Hi Ken - thanks for your nice comment. Yes I found them over the years...of these only found one pr. online - the wide butterscotch between green in pic 1. Since this post I added another 3 great pair of bakelite hoops. I also made a mistake on 2 red pair online - they weren't even Lucite - most likely 80's, it was a gamble and they were very cheap. Win some and lose some right?
EYE CANDY!
Eileen, thank you - it's fun to collect these colorful bakelite earrings.
I love these hoops! Have only seen hoops once and I didn't understand that they were bakelite until I came home after not having bought them!! Saw a photo of the same kind and realized. It was when I had just become interested in bakelite. Would not miss them today :) Lol
Like pieces of candy aren't they Elisabeth? I have them in a lidded crystal candy dish. Now that you know, you'll find them for decent prices. I have more since this post LOL. Thanks for commenting!
To think this is but a small portion of your collection! So much eye candy!
Eileen, so nice of you to comment on these little candies!
Love this display of your collection 7 years ago, Mary. Glad you mention color because it seems bakelite was often made in a yellow shade. The real stuff, did it have a small range of colors in jewelry? Depending on age? Thanks.
Hi Lisa - White was very popular, but it oxidized over the years to shades of yellow from butter to goldenrod! As for the original colors - SO MANY . 2 colors mixed could be referred to as "swirl" - more than 3 could be called "end of the day". In today's collecting world Blue Moon (which is a mix of deep blue and green swirls) is highly sought after. I only have one thin bangle....for now.
Thanks Mary, I did not know that. Very interesting, recently I won an auction lot of old buttons and what the appeal was 4 yellow buttons quite substantial in size. Like your earrings here. I will have to post them when I get them.
As you might assume I am venturing into unknown territory. I also got a nice big green glass button and more decorative brown ones. Seems buttons are doing really well on the sale websites. Take care.
Hi Lisa - Buttons are little works of art! And, most collectors can afford them as Ironlace put it "glass buttons were my gateway drug to the vases I collect now".
I look forward to seeing your buttons when they arrive.
Thanks friends for your loves!
