Trying to help my neighbor identify and possibly value this rod. It is a one-piece bamboo, quite thick and heavy. I can just make out "Made in Occupied Japan" on the manufacturer's label, which would indicate 1946-1952. The mfg. seems to be H_RA__, Inc. which might be Harada.

Any help would be appreciated. The rod belonged to her late husband and it would be nice if there was any value here.

The value is that it did belong to her late husband.
