Well it was another great day today to be a picker. This NOS Quaker State double sided tin sign with the original metal bracket still wraped in it's original brown paper dated 1957 fell right into my lap. My friend picked three of these and called me to see if I wanted one. That was a no brainer! I went over to his place and gave him what he was asking and the rest is history. It's now home in my collection. On the bottom left of the sign it reads Quaker State Oil Refining Corporation, Oil City, Pa. and on the right it reads Made in U.S.A. A.A.W. 11-57. Another great sign found in Indiana.

Just looked at a bunch of these today myself, made him a decent offer, but the guy was still a little un-realistic. He had 2 of the Quaker State 24" buttons, never seen them before. I'll be checking back with him reg. now!!

That tombstone sign is the Holy Grail for me. I've been after one of those for a long time but have yet to find one. The only one I've ever seen was in an antique store here. It was in absolutely horrible condition, but they still wanted almost $300 for it. Crazy. I'm originally from PA and a dedicated Quaker State user. One day I'll have one.
