Found this item at a garage sale, yes, a garage sale for nearly nothing.
It sports the old blue paint from 1800's and I'm so estatic I stopped at this garage sale in lower Greenville Ave area in Dallas, TX
    Measures: 8 1/4" wide
    25 1/4" round
    3 1/2" tall
    Probably a hat box

Sorry bout the shaker oval boxes pictured earlier.... oops
The above blue paint box is stored away because the lid is loose from the lid side band and haven't determined yet how I'm going to brace it without the repair showing glue and etc.
More pictures to come to see close ups of the blue painted
    box
two photos have been deleted and two new ones have been added for closer view of how this box was structured.

You need to forgive me but I have a question. How do the oval boxes enter into this? Do you have a clear picture of the fasteners of the box in question? Inside picture and also bottom?
