Any idea what the heck this goofy looking statue is? My great grandmother passed and she had a whole lot of kitschy things. I took it because I think it's sort of gawdy and hysterical but someone offered me 1000 dollars for it and I'm wondering if they knew something I don't know about it I don't really have any interest in selling it since it reminds me of my grandmother but I'd love to know what it is. It's too heavy for me to cart over to a vintage store by myself. I think she bought it some time in the late 70's but I'm not sure. It was in her condo in south Florida for as long as I can remember and I'm 30 now. It is about 3 feet tall... There isn't any identifying information on it. As far as I can tell. It's all mirrored glass mosaic and it's really heavy like concrete.

I have one a lot like this one. Purchased it in a store in Houston that sold all sorts of eclectic things. Mine is also about 2 - 3 feel tall, and heavy. It is a black mirrored color however, not silver like yours. There were several other mosaic items I purchased at same time. A buddha, Elephant, etc.. All different colors. All rather large. I bought her entire stock of these things. I think the store owner told me they came from South America. Unfortunately, the store went out of business several years ago. I think I spent around $3k for all the items, but they were on sale for 50% off. They look great in my home, and people always comment about how unique they are. Other than gathering a little dust which is easily cleaned, they look as good as when I purchased them 10 years ago. Glad I got them before the store closed. Pretty expensive for me, but I wanted them and never regretted getting them.

Update. There was a tag on the base of a couple of these mosaic mirrored statues. It had the words "cha cha cha Brazil" on the tags. I googled on the internet, but could find nothing more about them. Maybe you will have more luck searching than me.
