I hope you enjooy Iknow you will .It takes a certain kind of person to love this stuff .Looks to be russian ortodox cross.Prob used it for communion in trnch World war I

    Nice trench art-- the symbol is the Cross of Lorraine.

    The Lorraine region was the location of many battles of WW1.

    Also, could be related to the 79th Infantry division...I believe their insignia was the Cross of Lorraine....
