Mid 1930s fan with bakelite base. Bakelite being an early form of plastic. It also has a unique two bladed propeller style for the fan blades. I bought this for my brother for his birthday. Sadly he liked it as I kind of wanted to keep it. It is in near mint condition works perfectly including oscillating.

Your 2nd. fan posting...Brian, I just came across by accident a fan that is to be rare. It needs TLC, I'm told that it is from Signapore. I'll know over the weekend when cleaning it. I want to post it at some point and maybe you could have some info on it..Also, I got a what is known as a 'Moose Horn' blade, in good condition, don't know much about that either. See what CW does..it makes you pick up things you don't collect! Lol!!

Thank you very much Thomas. I fear I don't know much about fans from Singapore. I have just been collecting American fans. If it was made for the American market I don't think it would be older than the 1960s. Post it and I can tell more.
Moose horn I also don't know, nothing comes up on various searches.
