    Can anybody tell me something about this tiny shield? Its really fine hand work but there is no markings.

      This is an ornament for holding back curtains. I have some in a different design altogether, but the same in the back when I turn it over. Mine are from France from circa 1860. Yours looks to be about that old as well. Wish I could tell you more.
