The first of my depression glass posts. Although this is actually Elegant Glass. It is much brighter than the rest of my pink depression glass, like a pink version of uranium glass.

This was made by the New Martinsville Glass Co. It is set #1926 Condiment Tray.
New Martinsville Glass ceased to be by 1944. The piece is probably 1920s-30s.

your table set is New Martinsville Glass Co. #1926 and is considered Elegant Glass; not sure that there was a specific name for the pink color as many companies made various shades of pink during the depression era. It would never be considered Vaseline glass since it is not yellow; tho' if it contains uranium it would glow brightly under black light. This is just a bright vibrant pink glass.

I love depression glass! My Mother had a lot of the pink...
Want to hear a sad story?
My friend was having a baby shower, to decorate my Mother brought a load of pink depression glass, consisting of platters, plates, cups, the whole shebang! When Mom got home, she was walking towards the house, box of depression wear in hand, and she tripped and down she went. Thankfully my Mother was not injured. Can’t say the same for the Ware...it all shattered!

Thank you very much Ms.CrystalShip. I tragic tale indeed. I need to amend this post. You may note I have lots and lots of depression glass. This is elegant glass which I need to change in the category section.
