Something pretty (late) for Xmas ...
Put together my Pastry bag decors for this year ...
... partly motivated by an earlier comment on one of Warren's pieces - the IV/714 I think ... so again thanks to BG&M ...
The piece on the left in Photo 2 and seen in Photo 3 is the IV/(1)706 decor mentioned ... and gives an indication of the nuance and subtleties encountered in identifying Loetz decors.
I think the piece in the middle of photo 2 is the same decor but cannot be certain ... the differences from the 714 are evident with direct comparison ... (see the IV/714 page on Loetz.com) has to do with the placement of the"tufts" of vegetation surrounding the seed head ...
Photo 4 is of the base of the Rubin mat iridescent ... my candidate for Aetna ... although the text on the base is worn beyond legibility ... I think it could be text though rather than numeric ...
Other interesting pieces include the Violetta (appearing yellow) ... two metallinrot pieces ... the two ?Aetna candidates (Poppy Flowers) and three later (less detailed pieces) which are either Rubin Matt Iris or "Rusticale" ... think the small bowl is a 1/108 ... and the Green pieces on the left are either Russian Green or Sooty Green in an unidentified decor ... The pink (presumably Rosa although is an opalescent pink) is also in IV/(1)706 decor ... although is in a different colour to the metallinrot on Loetz.com ... think there were pink ones in PGM as well ...
All the best for 2014 to everyone ...

      Thanks Deb & Warren

PostScript: after looking at the picture of the base of the green piece posted here (and testing the zoom on my screen) I began to wonder if that 106 may in fact be a 706 ... Have been back to check on this and under a Loupe (7x) it would appear to be the case ...
In turn prompted review of the other pieces ... More pics to come ... Particularly the Left most piece in pic 1 appears to be a I or II/ 108 ... Recharging the camera battery ...
