I calmly walked down the aisle when I spotted this piece. Yes I know that seems uncharacteristic of me but there was no one in the store due to the continuous Hoth like weather we are having in Chicago. Plus side of bad weather? I maintained my dignity.
I thought this was a Leerdam piece. I was thinking it was Leerdam. NOT a Leerdam. This is made out of Lucite and is by Austin Productions. Probably around 1960s. It is huge and heavy, probably four pounds and 20 inches tall and a bit longer than that. Hard to photo, so sorry for the lack of detail. They did come out with a lot of cool pieces, but the reality is....not a Leerdam. Sniff.

Don't under estimate Austin Products Amber... Here's some links that fhrjr2 sent me about Austin pieces. -Mike-

This email is for Charlie King. He is the guy researching everything Austin. Nice guy but takes a day or two to reply. He has resources.

First off...Phil you croaked me up so hard. I know it's hard to believe.
Agram thank you for the kind words.
Mike, thanks! I have been learning about them too. They really cranked out a variety of treasures but seem to be high quality. Appreciate the links. How's the hunt? Mine is still freakishly slow. The weather...
