    1900 A. Paul Keith & Eward F. Albee Vaudeville Army Girls Trans Tabacco Fund. I thought it would be neat to show this. it's like the only item with these two famous vaudeville theater duo's names together, one of the two died young, maybe albee but don't quote me on that. so that would put this at WWI thank you card. Thanks for looking.

      I've been looking up "An Army Girl's Transport Tobacco Fund" on one of the newspaper research sites, and it’s pretty interesting. It seems that Margaret Carson was the daughter of Colonel John Carson, head of the Transport Service. In 1917, when she learned that the men on the troop transports going to France would not have tobacco available to them during the crossing because it wasn’t an army ration, she decided to do something about it, and started this charity so that troops would have something to puff on till they got to Europe.
