Andy Capp is a British comic strip created by cartoonist Reginald Smythe (1917–1998), seen in The Daily Mirror and The Sunday Mirror newspapers since 5 August 1957. The strip is syndicated internationally by Creators Syndicate. The character is also licensed as the mascot for a line of snack foods (Andy Capp's fries) and a defunct chain of miniature golf courses in Brevard County, Florida.
This pocket watch is powered by a 1967 Smiths movement. Andy Capp's wife, Florrie "Flo", moves back and forth as the second ticks. It has the copyright of the creator, Reginald Smythe, and it says Made in Gt Britain.
Despite the copyright marking on the dial, I have a strong suspicion that this could be an unofficial fantasy piece as I have not seen another one before. Nevertheless, I love the graphics and the animation and this is one of my favourite comic character timepiece!
