I posted my Illinois RR watch long ago but watch was in the States & couldn't get details. Finally got to it, got the info & promptly misplaced my notes. Found them! Inside rim: 3760012. Then: 17 jewels; Springfield, IL Watch Co. & double roller. Then B&B Royal; 20 yrs; and 6183233-88. Can any of our watch Guru's tell me the year or any other info?

Thanks PW. So my great uncle had it for 12 yrs before he & family were killed by a train. Don't guess that qualifies it as a true RR watch.
BB2, This is what I found on the watch case:
The case is B&B (Bates & Bacon) founded by Joseph M. Bates & George M. Bacon in Attleboro, MA in 1868. In 1901, B&B was bought out by the Philadelphia Watch Case Co., which in turn, became part of the Keystone Watch case Co.. The B&B name and the names of some of their gold-filled case grades continued to be used, and guarantees on B&B cases continued to be honored by Philadelphia.
B&B Case Grades;
Favorite; Gold-Filled case originally guaranteed for 20 Years, after February 1898 for 25 Years
Puritan; Gold-Filled case guaranteed for 5 Years
Regal; Gold-Filled case guaranteed for 10 Years
