Hi,I've had this trunk for 40 yrs.,before that it belonged to my grandfather.I've never been able to find another like it.It is 11 1/2 in.high-27 in.long-13 in.deep.Its made from a very heavy wood with leather on the outside of the trunk.Inside, canvas and wood. There are several wooden cases, all marked(in Japanese). The trunk has a stamp on the inside of the lid. There are 3 metal cases ,2 of them have an embossed emblem. There are 2 ivory brushes and 3 tools of some kind-2 of ivory/ivory&brass-1 of wood. Some of the small boxes hold test tubes and another type of glass object. The 2 small brown stamped envelopes hold needles wrapped in original paper in one,the other different threads. The outside of the box had red leaf like emblems on either end and is in very good condition,I believe original paint. The interior of trunk and contents are in excellent condition. If anybody has seen one or can give me some info.I would greatly appreciate it.Thanks!I apologize for the upside down pics.but I tried and CAN NOT fix them,LOL!

This is the first time I've given a "Love" to something I'm clueless about the identity of. It's amazing how much of whatever it is, is still there, and in such nice condition for whatever age it might be ;)
