These two beauties were Carlos's father's toy cars when he was a child in the 30s.

Until decoplease's proved us they were made in Czechoslovakia it was impossible for us to tell where they came from... Because of his work, Carlos's grandfather used to travel around Europe, so he could have bought them anywhere in Europe (Germany, Austria, Britain, France... even the US).

They have no marks at all except for what it seems to be a serial number underneath the brown Studebaker car: EVF/4.

Anyone who's really into toy cars could probably tell us about Czech toy factories of the time...

Thanks Sean. The post has been re-categoried by CW as model cars, I hope that will bring the inputs of specialists in model cars :)

Last night, surfing the net in search of old cars from the 30s I found one, a Duesenberg, that really looks like our second -brown- model. So if it is a Duesy chances are the two cars are German. So you could be right here!!! :)

I've just found a German toys company that used to make wooden toys... Erzgebirge Holzspielzeug, but their painted finishes aren't really good. Agh, we need a German guy here to ask him for help :)

Thanks a loy for the link GTMOOM!!! There's some simmilarities with some wooden cars I've found there. I wish we could get a site with info on German toys instead of American brands.

      Dear astro,
My husband bought a similar car at a flea market in Paris years ago. The bottom is marked "Czechoslovakia." I have pictures of it, if you would like me to email them to you.

Thanks to decoplease I've found out these cars were made in Czechoslovakia.

She's been so kind as to send me pics of their car and there's no doubt they were made at the sama factory or by the same guy.

I really hipe we'll be able to find out which factory made them!!!

Thanks so very very much, Susan!!!!
