After our sweet bulldog "Max" passed away, my dad started collecting bulldog related items. This handsome bronze was one of them. The bottom seems to have a hole filled with some sand substance. Does that happen when a bronze is sand cast?

Nice Bulldog. we collect also. The best being our real ones Sweetie Pie and Sluggo.
It's hard to tell from photo's, but this could be a bronze clad piece. This is where they cover a plaster piece in bronze rather than being solid bronze cast. Either way he is great. Typical Bully expression and pose. Hope you post more of the collection.
