I came across this pistol at an antique shop a few months back. At first I thought it was a toy or something due to all the inlay in the wood. After closer inspection of the firing mechanism, I discovered that it was an actual flintlock pistol. I haven't been able to find much info on it locally as there aren't many flintlock experts in my neck of the woods but was told that it probably originated from Northern Africa or India. The inlay appears to be either bone or shell and it also has some metallic inlay. I find the circular carved end of the stock different. Makes a nice show piece, but if anyone could provide more info or an appraisal it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
