this is a friends Lindberg pocket watch with original fob and leather strap. I think that it is missing the compass in the fob. I do not know much about it and more info would be helpful. not sure how rare this is only others I have seen are ones on CW and they have white dials.

Sadly compass is missing, but doesn't hurt the value to much... the black face makeup the difference

Mickey, your friend's black dial Lindbergh is stunning and very rare. Apart from the dial colour, the hands on the watch are different from a white dial version. The compass is indeed missing from the fob.
