I posted these years ago & someone took offence. That's the last thing I intended, I'm just trying to post something that was my father's & reflected his humor in an era of unspeakable horror. So, please don't take offense & if you do, I will remove the post.

Thanks, Sean. I thought twice about posting again as when I did years ago someone posted an unkind comment, but I thought I would try again

I didn't post the unkind comment but I can be cantankerous with the best. To bad your dad didn't have a picture of Adolph to sew on the back side. I happen to see items like this as a reminder of what happened and what could happen again if we turn a blind eye. Better forewarned than forlorn.

I think that whoever saw this & didn't see the humour is without humour and therefore a miserable person. Great! And you still have them? Should be in a musee'. Do they have musee's for war humour?

Glad you posted!! NONE of here can say what these Men and Women went through during the war. All they tried to do was create their own humor, and keep their sanity -- when seeing death all around them.

      I SALUTE YOU for Posting!!!

I appreciate all the support guys & you all obviously share my dad's great sense of humor. I agree with you blunder & yes I'm glad I have them & I'm currently looking for the picture of him wearing them, I'll post when I find it. Sean, I hope for my dad's sake it did. Thanks Amber, & antiquerose & valentine. Both my parents went through hell & you're right antiquerose, nobody including myself can truly know, I only know the horrific stories they told me
