I believe this was used in a department store and it sat on the countertop. When you were sampling an item you could look at yourself and see how the item looked on you. The mirror tilts, goes up and down and turns 360. It looks like it is made of cast iron, copper and brass. The oval mirror is beveled.

Thank you bratjdd for the love! The mirror came with beveled glass making it original so I'd say yes to your question because it is still original with the original beveled glass instead of being replace with a non beveled glass. Hope I have answer your question and have a nice evening! :-)
