I really love Kralik's glass flowers, and was so happy to be able to add this one to my collection. It is a very textural flower with highly raised bumps all along the petals of the ruffled flower. Some of the flower details and the rim are a very pale pink opalescent glass, while the rest of the vase is clear soft green and pale pink. The floriform is about 5.5" x 5.5" in size, and, I think, one of the prettiest I have so far. :) This floriform dates from about 1895 to 1905 or so, but doesn't show any signs of wear, which I find to be pretty amazing.

Thanks Gary, I thought so, too. I like the soft colors in this one. It had the usual dirt in the stem, of course!

Stunning, was this on ebay, I think I saw it but didn't realise it was pink...the two colours look stunning together...

Thanks, Anne. It was on Ebay, but I don't think anyone else saw it due to how it was listed - I got it for $20! :)

Thank you, Leah. I didn't realize the three leaves were unusual. I am very lucky to be able to add it to my collection. I do love the pale pink & green combination, too. I have been pretty successful at getting dirt out of my other floriforms, and was able to get this one almost clean, but the last 1/4" of the stem is very narrow, and I couldn't even get a wire in there! I'll try again and see if soaking it overnight will help. Thanks!

Peggy, thank you. You know, I first posted this vase over two years ago and have seen a lot of floriforms since then. I want to point out the soft pink and green coloration, and the unusual molded 'dots' on the petals that you don't see on a lot of other floriforms - both of these characteristics can be seen in Welz vases, too. Food for thought!
