This is a very large and very heavy forest green pedestal compote bowl. It measures 14 " tall and more than 9" across with a diamond cut pattern in which the lid meshes with the body of the bowl. I have not seen anything like it ever. The top of the lid has the diamond pattern in a swirl like pattern which is so unique. The base has the hexagon in the bottom underside. A local shop owner called me to let me know she had just gotten several pieces in a complete home interior sale by the owner of the home and this was one of those pieces. I do not have any info at all on it and would appreciate all the help I can get to identify it and to learn some history of the piece. Thank you in advance....

this is a reproduction of early EAPG. This covered compote is Westmoreland #556 Sawtooth, c.1960s-80s; it's possibly marked with superimposed WG.

If this is a reproduction, could someone please provide info on the original design and maker. I have researched some on the EAPG sites but have no luck finding it.
Also could anyone say where the superimposed WG might be on this piece?
