Union Cut. Co./ Olean, N.Y. hatchet knife circa. 1935 to 1945. The handle material is celluloid. As far as value, check ebay for similar items in like condition.
WoW they are asking like 3 times what it is worth, Union did make a jigged bone hatchet knife with a Boy Scout logo that could fetch the 3 hundred that they are asking.
Guys none of the value part really matters I dont collect Knifes and I`m not selling this it was give to me and my grandkids will get it someday.If someone said it was only worth $25 would be OK with me, thanks for all the help for sure! Mark
